Amorelle
About this book
Amorelle Dean's father, a dearly loved pastor, passed away, leaving her alone in the world. She had to vacate the only home she'd known to make way for the next pastor. A little known uncle sent for her to come to his home so she hurriedly packed and departed. She'd expected to help around the house, per the letter sent from the step-aunt, and on arrival found that she was relegated to a dusty third story bedroom. She was part of family meals but otherwise overlooked except for her chores. She bore these sweetly, with only her faith keeping her going. A Bible class and bookkeeping class helped to greatly encourage her and break the monotony. Chance meetings with 2 gentleman guests of the family drew her into an engagement with one that quickly became a heavy burden. A letter from home brought her back to an atmosphere where she could think clearly. Ending her engagement, Amorelle prepared for the life of a single woman working to support herself, when the other gentleman appeared once again in her life. Would he be a friend she could trust?
