Bagals of border Bengal

**Bagals of Border Bengal - a cattle herding community in search of identity** is a fact finding study on a group of people which till date were deprived of many facilities . They have repeatedly attempted to the authority concerned for the inclusion in a list of schedule and to get recognized as a Scheduled Caste or Tribe group. Author attempt here is to narrate an ethnography and to verify how far their mode of life and details of cultural pattern are related to some extent to the other groups who are recognized as scheduled castes and tribes.
