Farmacotherapie bij kinderen

This study aims to identify which medications deserve priority for clinical research in the short term. The authors found that a lot of knowledge is already available and needs dissemination rather than further research. The medication for ADHD, Ritalin is the best example of this. However, many medications have not been studied yet in children and among those, two research questions are identified: 1 - clinical research on the safety, effectiveness and long term effects of (amongst others) psycho-active substances, new anti-epileptics and gastro-intestinal medications for use in children 2 - dissemination of knowledge on several medications to paediatricians, general practitioners and pharmacists.
