Hands-On Physics Experiments, Grades K-2

Use this book to help your students learn to use the tools and methods of science as they investigate the fascinating world of physics. Through hands-on experiments, your students will learn about what things are made of, what they're like, where things are, how they move, and what we think of as energy. The contents are divided into three sections--Properties of Objects and Materials; Position and Motion of Objects; plus Light, Heat, Electricity, and Magnetism. Instruction begins with a question followed by a materials list, step-by-step directions, plus suggestions for discussion. Based on the National Science Education Standards, the experiments can be easily adapted to meet the needs of your individual students.
