Keeping her safe

It's easy to feel safe if you don't know you're in danger.... When DJ Woodward learned her father was alive, despite the fact that her mother had always told her otherwise, she was fuming! It didn't occur to her that her mother had been trying to protect her for thirty years. After all, what was so threatening about a long-lost father?
