Nyjat në gjuhën shqipe es un albanian language, grammaticalisation book de Aristotel Spiro.

Sobre este libro

This book explains the historical context of the grammaticalization of the definite enclisis as well as the creation of the the double series of the prepositive articles in Albanian. The postpositive articles are studied also as a phenomenon of the Balkan Linguistic Union, where the contribution of Proto-Albanian is focused. In a synchronic level, the impact of the prepositive and postpositive articles in present-day Albanian is examined. Consideration about the role of the prepositive articles as clitic words are given. They constitute free morphemes, according to the author, and are not part of the word structure of the nouns or adjectives, nor articleïzation (Alb. paranyjëzim) is recognised as a word formation device. Considerations are given about the number of cases in the nominal system of present-day Albanian as well as for the categorisation of its nonfinite forms.
