Stefen Jones is widely known as KJIVA or Kjiva the Marathi rapper. He is creator and represented new genre of music type in Marathi language. This type of genre he mention as Marasta hip hop. Marasta hip hop is a term for Marathi music and culture which combines the influences of hip hop and the Indian subcontinent the term Marasta referring to the western Indian Diaspora. The term has also come to be used as an alternative for rap music and even pop music which involves rappers of Marathi language. He is also god father of gangsta rap in Marathi which released his track ganjah which is based on his criminal background life, gangster from Mumbai and kid who get addicted of drugs. Now he is comes with his most awaited album “Murder” which is first full rap Marathi compilation album featuring with international artists. He started producing beat at age of fifteen years old by influence from the legend Peter Tosh, Delroy Wilson, and Alton Ellis. He started his career as a music producer then his compose music and even started to write poems which are based upon his life and his worst past.
