31-year-old Rita is lying in bed one night when she realizes she has carelessly misplaced her uterus - probably at the mall, right after she stopped at the shoe store. With the aid of a famous white-haired talk show host and an activist group called The Fruitless Wombs, Rita's plight sets off a hilarious chain reaction of fervent soul-searching and bizarre reproductive mishaps. Men, women, and even dogs, are caught up in the saga - until Rita does what no one would have expected.
