Dick Foster, a general practitioner with a flourishing practice, was well liked by everyone but his wife. Jan had long ago destroyed their marriage with her cold selfishness. When Dick agreed to supervise and evaluate a half dozen pre-med students, Jan became over friendly with a clever but amoral young man in the group, condoning his behavior and making a bad situation scandalous. With his personal and professional life heading toward a crisis, Dick met a woman who could give him the love and understanding he had never known. But was it too late to build a new life?
