The nevermore affair

It looked like a major disaster. When people read about the plane crash off the North Carolina coast, they were shocked—this was the flight carrying a group of America’s scientific elite. It looked like an irreplaceable—and mysterious—loss. Mysterious it was. There had been no crash. The group was still alive—but not safe: they were prisoners in a remote Rocky Mountain valley.
