Years of yearning

Brother Mel's presidency spanned decades of enormous change at Saint Mary College of California and in the outside world. From financial tensions and academic politics over curricular changes, to anti-war protests, the civil rights and women's rights movements, to the changes in the Church following Vatican II, Brother Mel Anderson's memoir highlights the societal, academic and financial complexities that surrounded and affected the Moraga campus during 1969 to 1997. Throughout his presidency, he guided the College in adapting to the new world without sacrificing its Catholic, Lasallian, and Liberal Arts foundations.
