Peace or Armageddon?

The Old Testament tells the story of Israel, the nation God chose as the messenger of His love for the whole world (a dubious privilege, as history has shown). The Old Testament is also replete with prophecy relating to Israel, and what happens there is seen as an indicator of things to come for the whole world - hence the preoccupation with Israel among Christians. This book draws out the prophetic and spiritual significance of the historic peace settlement between Israel and Palestine. It retells the story behind the handshake that was heralded around the world, and in exploring afresh the Bible's prophecies it encourages a greater understanding of God at work in today's troubled world.
